Acres Hockey is very excited to continue with our "Great Start" Program in 2012. Acres Hockey and Brain Navigators are proud to include the Great Start Program as part of BRINGING SMART PLAY TO HOCKEY.
Henry is excited to offer budding hockey stars a chance to improve their skills with enrollment in the "Great Start" Initiation Program.
This program will take place July 30, 31 and Aug 1, 2012 at Oceanside Place in Parksville, BC, Canada.
The Great Start Program is a cornerstone for all future hockey skill development. The focus of this Program will be on skating basics-balance, stance, stride, and confidence. Proper passing and shooting technique will be introduced during the ice sessions along with beginner on-ice injury prevention training. This program is for players in Tyke (ages 5,6) through Novice (ages 7,8) age groupings.
Skating is the key to a enjoyable, successful life playing hockey and starting at a young age with proper instruction puts you ahead of the pack! The 10/10,000 theory is that to be an Elite Level Athlete it takes 10,000 hrs of training and 10 years of basic skills training to achieve athletic prowess. Henry is very excited to start you down this path!
